‘A shame:’ Fans voice frustration after musician postpones Columbus show
Yungblud’s May 4 outdoor show in Columbus was postponed, with a new date set for Aug. 2. A social media post from promoter PromoWest Productions said tickets from the original date will be honored, and refunds are available at the original point of purchase.
The announcement came one day before the scheduled show – and for many fans, that timing is the biggest issue.
In social media comments, one fan noted they had already traveled far to Columbus for the concert and were left scrambling for last-minute plans, suggesting an impromptu meetup just to salvage the night. Others raised logistical questions about parking passes, ticket transfers and why they hadn’t received clearer communication.

One commenter summed up a broader frustration: they wished the notice had come sooner, saying they were now stuck eating the cost of hundreds of dollars in nonrefundable hotel bookings. While acknowledging that “things happen,” they called the situation “a shame.”
I’m so disappointed! I hope he is well, July here I come!
The English singer, songwriter and actor addressed the postponement in an Instagram story, citing “unforeseen circumstances” and assuring fans the shows would return later this summer.
As of early Monday, the Columbus stop was one of two affected dates on the current U.S. tour, alongside Indianapolis. The Cincinnati show scheduled for May 6 was still expected to go on as planned.
