Columbus is taking a page out of Los Angeles’ book in an initiative to provide housing for the unhoused here in town.

A 103-unit, five-story building called the Whitechapel Development will officially be built in Franklinton to provide to house homeless people. The new apartment building at 640 W. Town St. was originally proposed several years ago, but the East Franklinton Review Board approved of the building in December.
