Bryce Adair, a 31 year-old production assistant for CBS Sports has died after being involved in a single-car crash on May 31.
During the CBS broadcast of the PGA Tour Memorial Tournament, commentator Jim Nantz delivered an emotional segment sharing the news of Adair’s death.
“Be patient with us for a minute here,” Nantz said in the tribute, his voice audibly shaking. “A huge loss earlier today within our CBS Sports family. Trust me when I tell you that in over 40 years I have never seen our crew of 250 people coming to a broadcast like this one carrying as much grief as they are now.”
