Local teacher appearing as contestant on iconic TV show game

A Worthington School teacher is getting his shot on one of America’s most iconic game shows.

Will Thornton is set to appear on Jeopardy! Tuesday, May 12, according to a post shared by Worthington Schools on social media.

The district said Thornton taped the episode back in March and kept the appearance under wraps until now.

“Answer: This Thomas Worthington teacher is about to become Worthington’s favorite Jeopardy! contestant,” the district wrote in the announcement post. “Question: Who is Will Thornton?”

The post also included a photo of Thornton standing beside Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings on the show’s set.

The episode is scheduled to air Tuesday at 7 p.m. on WBNS-10TV.
