Country music star performs surprise concert at Dublin hotspot

A country megastar surprised Dublin fans at a local venue.

Since restaurant and entertainment venue Bristol Republic opened its new location at 4495 Bridge Park Ave. in September, it has been embracing its true Nashville heart.

Amid the plethora of live music the space offers, on September 26, Ohio local band Tom Lees and Southern Summer were joined on stage by a familiar face for a night no one at Bristol will forget.

Dierks Bentley, a renowned country singer who rose to fame in Nashville, got up on stage with Lees to perform a few classic hits, including his timeless 2003 hit “What Was I Thinkin’.”

“The best part of the night was experiencing first-hand how nice and down to earth Dierks is,” Lees posted on Facebook about performing with the “Drunk On a Plane” singer.

Bentley was recently awarded the CMA Foundation Humanitarian Award for his years of philanthropic work and ongoing support for music education.

For those who missed Bentley’s surprise appearance, Bristol Republic is ramping up its live music lineup, featuring local and national talent, to keep delivering unforgettable nights like this.
