Central Ohio city aiming to break world record for largest human shamrock

The city of Dublin is taking its St. Patrick’s Day pride to the next level, and is aiming to break an extremely specific world record along the way.

Following the city’s St. Patrick’s Day parade—which will be held on March 14—the local tourism group Visit Dublin will attempt to organize the formation of the world’s largest human shamrock.

The attempt will take place at 1:30 p.m. on March 14 at Riverside Crossing Park.

According to a social media post from Visit Dublin, their goal is amass 1,200 individuals to form the shamrock. Participants are asked to wear green.

The previous world record was set in 2019 in Elmira, New York. Dublin, Ireland held the record before this.

Participation in the world record attempt is totally free, and everyone involved will receive a commemorative gift.
