‘Soberfest’ coming to Columbus area this summer
For 15 years, Soberfest has been celebrating a drug- and alcohol-free environment of entertainment, fellowship, and community resources.
The festival will be held Sept. 6 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. at the Franklin County Fairgrounds located at 4100 Columbia St, Hilliard. Hosted by faith-based nonprofit The Serenity Street Foundation, Soberfest’s mission is to show guests you can enjoy live entertainment while in a safe judgement-free community.
In May, Soberfest announced its musical lineup featuring Pennsylvania rapper Colicchie to headline, followed by performances by Whirl, Rock This Way, Pilot to Pluto and more. Not only will the festival highlight live music, but also guest speakers who will share their journey to sobriety.

The fun continues with several food trucks and games, creating a family-friendly environment. This year will also feature an expanded kid’s zone, with face painting, balloon art, magic acts, and new to the festival–a petting zoo.
The event is free to attend for anyone interested in getting to know safe, sober fun. The committee of volunteers who belong to the recovery community offer opportunities for those to be of service and offer resources. Over 75 local resource partners will be on-site to aid attendees to the correct organizations and communities.
“Every year at Soberfest, my heart is filled with gratitude,” says the committee in a press release. “It’s powerful and deeply meaningful to witness the growth of the event and the impact on the community of our partners and peers”.
