Utica will give spring a sweet send-off during its 50th anniversary celebration of the Utica Ice Cream Festival, a small-town Ohio event that draws in thousands of visitors each year, according to a press release.

“For many families, the festival is a summer tradition you plan around,” said Joanne Dager, vice president of Velvet Ice Cream, in the release. “A 50th anniversary deserves something special, and we cannot wait to celebrate this milestone with the entire community.”

Memorial weekend, festivalgoers can experience over 20 food vendors and 60 craft/art vendors, live entertainment, a car show of over 300 classic cars, and various children’s activities, including ice cream eating contests, bounce houses, and magic shows in downtown Utica. And, naturally, ample amounts of ice cream, courtesy of Velvet Ice Cream.
