25 year-old BBQ chain shutters sole Columbus location
A longtime barbeque chain is no longer available in the city of Columbus proper.
Smokey Bones BBQ, which was previously located at 3939 Morse Crossing, closed its doors for good in January, although the exact date is unclear. The space is now listed for lease by Global Command Real Estate Services.

According to a Smokey Bones press release from last September, the brand recently closed 15 stores, and has converted or will be converting 19 others into Twin Peaks locations, a cabin-themed sports bar concept owned by Twin Hospitality, which is also behind Smokey Bones. It does not appear the Easton Smokey Bones will be converted into a Twin Peaks.
FAT Brands (which later created Twin Hospitality, a subset restaurant group intended to manage Smokey Bones and Twin Peaks), purchased Smokey Bones in 2023, when the brand operated 60 locations across the country.
