49-year-old fried chicken chain opens fourth Central Ohio restaurant

Popeye’s biggest competitor is putting its roots down here in Central Ohio.

Bojangles, which originated in Charlotte, North Caroline in 1977, quietly opened their Circleville location at 1280 S. Court St. on February 4th.

The chicken chain is known for fried chicken and biscuits, iced tea, and sides like fries, coleslaw, tots, and Dirty Rice. It’s considered a competitor to Popeye’s, with both chains specializing in Cajun-style chicken.

This marks the fourth Central Ohio location for Bojangle’s, with a fifth in the works.
