50-year-old Clintonville winemaking shop sold to new owners
To ring in their newly renovated shop space and changing of the guard, a local winemaking and homebrewing supply shop in Clintonville is hosting an open house and kickoff celebration Saturday.
The Winemaker’s Shop, located at 3517 N. High St., is welcoming patrons back to their refreshed space with drink specials, sales on select wines, and live music, as well as a meet-and-greet with the two new owners of the historically family owned business, one of whom is their longtime winemaker.
“We remain committed to honoring our shop’s traditions—over 50 years of excellence—and preserving the things you love the most, while also embracing the community as we explore new paths forward,” they shared on social media.

The shop operates as a micro-winery and seller of homebrewing, winemaking, and cidermaking supplies and equipment, including starter beer and wine kits, fermenting equipment, and “only the finest quality malts, hops, yeasts, and wine-grape concentrates,” according to their website. The shop also offers “Winemaking on Premises” for customers to create their own custom batch for special occasions, as well as classes and tastings.
The Winemaker’s Shop will host its Open House and Kickoff event from 3–8 p.m. April 18 at their store. Visitors can RSVP here.
