The blind pour opening soon in Westerville, OH

Uptown Westerville is getting a new addition this summer—The Blind Pour is opening soon on State Street. 614Now spoke with co-owner Dino Tripodis about the project.

The bar is a partnership between Tripodis and his longtime friend, Chris Beardman. He said, “We’re two friends who always talked about opening a bar that WE would go to. 20 years later the opportunity to do just that, AND to have it next to Fat Arnie’s (another family business as well) seemed like a ship that finally came in.” The bar will be located at  20 S. State St., behind Java Central and High Banks.

We asked about the inspiration behind the project. He said, “We both have entertained our friends for years at our respective homes. Nobody would ever leave! Why? They were comfortable and amongst friends. The drink was plentiful, the food was great and the music ranged in eclectic choices that were either familiar, a favorite, and at times maybe something you never heard but still enjoyed. Our guests felt ‘at home.’ That’s what The Blind Pour will be. Your home before you go home. Bring your friends, meet new ones, and maybe…stay longer than you planned.”

Tripodis said, “We’re not trying to be anything other than what we are. Two guys who want you to feel like you’re home in a living room for everybody.” The bar is aiming to open at the end of July, stay tuned for an opening date. Follow along here for updates and announcements.
