After 15 years, Dublin eatery to close; Will be replaced by Short North hotspot

The Dublin food scene is losing one concept but gaining another.

According to Daniel Kim, who owns the Short North sushi spot Domo, the eatery will be taking over the Dublin home of Mr. Sushi, which is owned by his father, Song Kim. Mr. Sushi, which expanded to the Columbus suburb in 2011, is located at 3 N. High St. in Dublin.

“Mr. Sushi has always been more than just a restaurant to us — it’s part of our family history,” an Instagram post from Domo announcing the new location reads. “The restaurant was previously owned and operated by my father, and being able to continue its legacy in a new chapter means a great deal to us.”

It’s currently unclear when Mr. Sushi will close, but the brand will continue to operate its Gahanna storefront.

Likewise, according to Daniel Kim, the Short North Domo location, which launched in 2023, will remain open.
