After 2 years out of business, this soft serve parlor reopens for summer service

After decades of serving the West Side community, this soft serve stop is officially reopened for summer.

Hilltop Dairy Twist, located at 2860 Sullivant Ave., skipped its summer season in 2023, then quietly closed its doors in October 2024. Then-owner Larry Cordial passed away in February 2025, leaving the fate of the Dairy Twist unknown.

After almost two years, the Hilltop Dairy Twist Facebook page notified its loyal fans that it would open for the Summer on July 26, under new ownership. The grand opening weekend consisted of meeting the new owners and trying the reimagined Dairy Twist menu—which now accepts cards.

While the menu is missing some original Dairy classics, it still offers 30 soft serve flavors available to customize and a savory side of fries, hot dogs, and burgers to add a little salt to your sweet.

The Hilltop Dairy Twist is currently open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day except Mondays.
