After closing due to flood damage twice, High Street dessert spot reopens

A local gelato spot that has close twice due to flood damage has officially reopened for business.

I Scream Gelato’s Campus-area storefront, which is located at 2010 N. High St., reopened on Jan. 29.

The storefront originally opened in early April of 2025, and later that month was forced to close due to damage from a flood. While it reopened two months later, the store closed again after being damaged in a separate flood last December.

The gelato spot offers a variety of flavors that can be eaten as-is or topped with candy, cookie pieces or sweet sauces. It also sells to-go pints, hot and cold drinks and more. As part of the Campus location’s reopening, a Dubai chocolate bar-inspired flavor will be offered for a limited time.

I Scream Gelato, which is based in Colorado, operates one other Columbus eatery, which is located in Polaris Fashion Place.
