After opening in January, local donut concept closing East Side cafe

Monster Baby Donuts is closing its East Side cafe space after just a few months. 

The local mini donut concept announced the closure of Monster Baby Cafe yesterday. It was located at 700 Bryden Rd., a group of commercial rental spaces in Olde Towne East. The donut spot was previously located inside the East Market

Monster Baby noted that its food truck will remain operational, referring to the closure as “just a shift,” in its post.

“To be transparent, we ran into some challenges behind the scenes that made it difficult to continue operating the space in a way that felt safe and sustainable for our team. Because of that, we don’t have the capacity to consistently run both the cafe and the truck at the same time,” the post reads. “Rather than divide our energy, we’re choosing to fully focus on the truck and the experiences we can show up for consistently.”

You’ll also be able to find Monster Baby Donuts at local festivals, the Oakwood Farmers Market and more.
