Just like that, another Columbus-area craft brewery is throwing in the towel.

Yesterday, Outerbelt Brewing announced that it plans to close its doors for good in early October. The brewery, which is located at 3560 Dolson Ct., STE A, in Carroll, originally opened in 2019.

“Our doors will close on October 5th, and we would love to celebrate these last few weeks with you,” the brewery wrote in a Facebook post. “Thank you for your support, your laughter, and your friendship. What we’ve built together is more than a brewery. It’s a community. We’ll miss you more than words can say.”

Outerbelt will offer karaoke, open mic nights and a Halloween event before it shutters.

The Carroll beer-makers are the latest in an increasingly long list of Columbus-area craft breweries closing. At the end of August, Nocterra Brewing Co., which operated two taprooms, announced its closure as well.
