Nothing says fair season like a corn dog and a donut—Rose Dough Donuts agrees, that’s why they teamed up with the Hungarian Butcher to create a seasonal Corn Dog Donut.

They debut the creation via social media. The post said, “Is it even the Fair without a Corn Dog?! Our sweet & buttery Cornbread Old Fashioned topped with a skewer of fresh, local, beef Hot Dog from the Hungarian Butcher – and drizzled with a Yellow Mustard Glaze – because we lived in Chicago for 20 years, and mustard is the Only Way….! A sweet & savory delight!”

614Now spoke with owner Katie Passo about the menu addition. She said, “We have a really popular cornbread old fashioned donut and I was thinking of ways we could riff on it…. I knew the Fair was coming up, and my husband also loves corn dogs, and the idea came to life! I knew I had to find a good local hot dog, so I stopped at the Hungarian butcher and talked with the owner Dan about doing a collaboration. We taste tested it and it was a hit!”

You can try the Corn Dog Donut for yourself while supplies last at 3375 N. High St., Columbus. Rose Dough Donuts is open Friday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., or sellout. Follow them here for updates and announcements. The Hungarian Butcher is located at 2177 W. Dublin-Granville Rd., you can follow them here
