Dues Reviews, a country musician who reviews restaurants while traveling the nation for performances, posted a review of Scotty’s Cafe last week. Scotty’s is located at 2980 E. Broad St.

While Deus’ platform is still small—he currently has just over 250 followers on Facebook—the review has exploded, garnering more 4,500 likes on Instagram alone.

He sampled a variety of items, like tomato soup and a chicken Parmesan sandwich, but spent the majority of the video focused on the Bexley diner’s speciality: its challah French toast, which the eatery says was named the nation’s best. Deus Reviews agreed, saying “It’s definitely the best French toast in America.”

In a recap, the popular musician-turned foodie had nothing but glowing things to say about the eatery.

“This has instantly went to the top of the list for me,” he said.

Dues Reviews later wrote on social media that Scotty’s was “Officially a Dues Reviews top spot leader now,” and that it holds the “highest scores in Dues history.”
