We’ll take an Oreo blizzard please, but only if the equipment is sanitized.

In a recent routine health inspection on Jan. 20 by Pickaway County Health Department, the Circleville Dairy Queen, located at 702 S. Court St., received four critical health-code violations, and three non-critical violations.

Inspectors found improper use of the handwashing sink, sanitizing levels below state requirements, food debris on equipment, and an unlabeled chemical spray bottle, which are all considered critical. The other three violations included grime on equipment pipes, food debris on floors on walls, and gaps between the walls and sinks.

Dairy Queen corrected some of the violations on the spot during the inspection, including labeling the chemical spray bottle.
