A new Columbus initiative from PETA will likely raise Cane in front of Raising Cane’s.
This morning, PETA announced it plans to park its “Free the Chicken” truck in front of Raising Cane’s Chicken Finger’s campus-area location from Sept. 10-14, starting at noon each day. It’s located at 10 E. 11th Ave.

The truck will offer free vegan “chicken” tenders to visitors while playing an informational video titled “Meet Her Don’t Eat Her” that presents the animals as “intelligent, curious, playful, and loving individuals who form friendships, dream, and worry about the future,” according to PETA.
“Every ‘chicken finger’ on Raising Cane’s menu was once a living, thinking, social bird who suffered a terrifying and painful death,” says PETA President Tracy Reiman in a press release.. “PETA’s vegan ‘Free the Chicken’ truck is roosting in Columbus to remind people that every chicken is someone—and once you meet her, unless you have a heart of stone, you won’t want to eat her!”
