Iron Grill BBQ & Diner located at 5295 N. High St. has permanently closed as of March 30. The abrupt closure was announced via a handwritten sign on the door. The sign said “Last Day—Dear loyal customers today will be the last day we will be no longer open. Thank you guys for supporting us!”

Iron Grill first opened in 2012, but it was a local barbecue spot known as Pig Iron BBQ for more than a decade prior to that. The closure comes as a shock to the neighborhood, there were no indications of the restaurant closing prior to March 29.

The local spot was known for pulled pork, brisket, breakfast specials, and their massive pig sign out front. Their website is still live, but the business has been confirmed as permanently closed.
