The Columbus craft beer scene has taken another hit, as a long-standing brewery is calling it quits.

According to a social media post, Trek Brewing is closing its doors on July 12. The brewery is located at 1486 Granville Rd. in Newark.

“We’re proud of all the good that we’ve been able to do through the Trek Together program, which raised tens of thousands to support local non-profits. We created a gathering space where people could enjoy good food and good beer, but most importantly, we created a community,” the post reads. “Our lives have been forever changed by you all, and we’re so glad that you were a part of our story.”

Trek did not provide a reason for the closure The brewery didn’t entirely close the door on an eventual comeback, however.

“We’re not quite sure what is next, but we’re committed to ending this incredible chapter well, and we look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks,” Trek’s post reads.
