Columbus bar tapped as one of the best in the nation by ‘USA Today’ voters

A Columbus bar has been tapped by USA TODAY as one of the best in the nation in a recent article. Land-grant Brewing Company took home special recognition, joining just 38 other bars on the list of the best.

They said, “We’re incredibly proud to share that Land-Grant Brewing Company has been named one of USA TODAY’s Best Bars in America for 2026, joining just 38 bars from across the country. This recognition belongs to our entire team, whose creativity, hospitality and hard work have made Land-Grant a place where people come together over great beer and memorable experiences. We’re also grateful to our Columbus community for continuing to show up and support us year after year.” 

The article said, USA TODAY celebrates the standout spots across the country that do more than just pour a stiff one. These are the places where locals and visitors alike gather for good conversation, warm vibes and a little slice of the city’s character – whether that means sipping a club-friendly mixed drink with orange vodka, club soda, 7-Up, and cranberry and orange juice while dancing at D’Jais in Belmar, New Jersey, or settling in to a hi-fi listening lounge and savoring an aperitivo at Potential New Boyfriend in Asheville, North Carolina. We love them all. And they are, the 2026 USA TODAY Bars of the Year.” 

Land-Grant Brewing Company is located at 424 W. Town St., Columbus. They’re open Monday through Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Check out the full list of bar honorees here.
