The post said, “Dear friends, it is with saddened but also hopeful hearts that we inform you, we will be closed indefinitely beginning May 8th. This was not an easy decision for us to come to. We have decided that in order to make our ministry better serve our community, we have to take some time to discern what is next for us and our space. We want to thank you for 10 wonderful years of love, laughter, and community. We would appreciate any feedback you have to offer about how we can better serve our community with what’s next.”
Coffee Underground first opened its doors in 2015, with the goal of community involvement and student outreach. The cafe serves locally roasted beans including One Line Coffee, and Royal Flamingo. Until May 8, they’re open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
