Columbus restaurant and music venue closes after a decade
An East Side spot for food, drinks, and music has called it quits after ten years of operation.
According to a post made to the concept’s Facebook page by its owners on June 21, The Point on Main closed its doors for good last week.
The post noted that The Point’s owners are making the “bittersweet decision” to close in order to “spend more time with families” and to “spend more time traveling.”

The East Side concept, which was located at 1192 Noe Bixby Rd., was known as a popular restaurant and bar, but also a live music venue.
After The Point announced its closure, several local musicians took to social media to lament the move.
“[The closure] touched us pretty hard because when we were just getting the Right on Main duo going [The Point owners] Al, Ged and Steve asked us to be the house band on Friday nights,” a post from the band Right on Main reads. “We will miss playing the Point on Main and we will the amazing staff and patrons.”
