Columbus steakhouse settles tax debt, remains open
With a tax suspension looming over the restaurant, York Steak House has settled its debts and will remain open.
After social media posts displaying a Feb. 12 suspension notice from the Ohio Department of Taxation earlier this week, the eatery claims to have have paid the taxes it owed to remain operational.

Yes, York Steakhouse was embarrassed today. Yes, it’s true we owed back sales taxes. We have paid these taxes and will not be closing. We would love to thank all of our great customers,” owner Tim Burkhammer wrote in the post.

Burkhammer’s post also commended the individuals who reached out to the local restaurant owner.
“On a special note. To the 192 people that private messaged me. That was the most special felling words can not express how much all of your kind and hearfelt words ment to me. In hard times you awsome individuals took the time to send words of comfort and not mean words. This was a hard hard time for us at York. And we will be stronger for it. But today we are so grateful for your unreal kind words. 192 we love you all.”
