Despite closures, bankruptcy filing, Columbus BBQ concept will remain open
It feels more like a matter of fact then opinion to say Columbus’ dining scene wouldn’t be the same without Ray Ray’s Hog Pit. Luckily for us, we won’t have to face that realityvanytime soon.
While it felt like a full-scale closure was a real possibility in the face of Ray Ray’s shuttering multiple locations in November and reportedly filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy the month after, a recent social media posts disputed the idea of the restaurant closing for good.

“We are currently undergoing a restructuring process to ensure a better future for our restaurants, but we want to reassure you that we’re not going anywhere,” the post, which is titled “Back to Our Roots,” the post reads. “Ray Ray’s Hog Pit has over 17 years of rich history in Columbus, and we fully intend to keep serving the best BBQ to the best city at our four core locations.”
Ray Ray’s currently operates restaurants in Clintonville, Franklinton, Granville and Westerville.
