DoorDash lists top donut shops in US, Ohio favorites named

Nothing beats the feeling of showing up to work and being greeted by a box stuffed full of donuts. From the classic glazed to gourmet donuts topped with cereal flakes, peanuts, or chocolate-frosted, overloaded with rainbow sprinkles, donuts remain untested as the official dessert of breakfast food.

June 5th is National Donut Day, and in celebration, DoorDash revealed its Donut Day Dozens, naming 100 top-rated local donut shops across the country.

DoorDash recognized two local Ohio shops, Akron’s Jubilee Donuts and Circles on the Square in Medina.

“Never has a simple, plain doughnut been so glorious!” one DoorDash user said in a review of Circles on the Square.

The list was determined by data from April 2025 to April 2026, reporting donut shops with fewer than ten stores, at least 1,000 lifetime reviews,  and the highest consumer ratings during the measurement period. See the full list of donut shops here.

To further commemorate the holiday, DoorDash and Krispy Kreme have teamed up to offer $7 off a Krispy Kreme order with a subtotal of $25 or more from June 4-18.
