Dublin-area Hibachi spot closes; Carryout pizzeria taking its place

Powell is getting a new pizza spot soon—Benny’s Pizza Pub & Patio is expanding to Powell Road with a new carryout location.

The pizza spot will move into the former Yoshi Yum at 3889 Powell Road, which recently closed. According to signage posted at the location, Benny’s Pizza Carryout location is coming soon. The signage encourages curious residents to try the original location in Marysville, which currently operates at 968 Columbus Avenue. The restaurant in Marysville is widely regarded as an institution. It originally opened in the 1940’s as a Frostop Root Beer stand, where orders were rolled out on skates and enjoyed in your car. It now operates as an entertainment venue, restaurant, and pub with live music, a massive patio, and beloved pizza.

The Marysville location boasts two adjoining buildings on the same property—one side handles dine-in service, a huge patio, and the iconic pub, with one side dedicated to carryout and pickup. An opening date has not been announced, stay tuned here for updates and announcements.
