Famed deep-dish pizza chain down to one Ohio location

Mary McCarthy

Started in 1974 on the South Side of Chicago, Giordano’s pizza has expanded far beyond the Windy City with more than 60 locations across the country.  However, their location in Dayton, Ohio has been confirmed to be permanently closed. This leaves just one location standing in Ohio—right here in Columbus.

Located at 2137 Polaris Pkwy. Giordano’s is known for deep-dish Chicago-style stuffed pizza. The chain was started by brothers Efren and Joseph Boglio after immigrating from a small town in Italy. The original pie recipe goes back to their mother, affectionately credited on their website as “Mama Giordano”.

The Polaris location is open Monday-Friday from 11 A.M. – 9  P.M. (10 P.M on Friday/Saturday) and you can check out their full menu here
