Family-operated Lebanese restaurant opens Dublin location
On June 15, paying homage to their home country, the family-run Lebanese restaurant Beirut Bitez opened its new Dublin location.
The Azzam family originally got their start in the food industry with the Clintonville Greek food truck, Taste of Greece & Mediterranean. While the food truck is still running successfully, the family received an opportunity to open a brick-and-mortar location.
Located at 5720 Frantz Rd., the location was formerly a Greek restaurant, and although well-versed in Greek food, the Azzams decided to shift to a more family-oriented restaurant.
“The family is going all in on this business,” said part-owner Zack Azzam. “We’re a big family. We’re closer to eight people, and all of us are in the business. My uncle has his food truck; my other uncle is in the business. My aunts, my cousins, me, you know, we’re all working in there.”

Beirut Bitez stays true to its Lebanese roots and features a menu of freshly prepared meat and veggies, cooked in olive oil, a Lebanese staple.
Similar to Brassica or Cava, Beirut Bitez serves homestyle, made-from-scratch Lebanese bowls in a fast-food manner. The restaurant prides itself on its halal and healthy options, only frying falafel and french fries; everything else is either roasted or grilled.
Along with made-to-order bowls, Beirut offers other signature items such as Spicy Potato, a self-explanatory dish of seasoned roasted potatoes, and a Lebanese favorite, green beans cooked with olive oil and tomatoes.
