After closing more than 40 restaurants last year, a fast-casual restaurant is closing around 35 more this year.

Noodles & Company, the fast-casual chain known for quick noodles, salads, and bowls, is reducing its footprint nationwide in order to focus on “restaurants with the strongest opportunity to perform,” said Joe Christina, CEO and President of Noodles & Company.

“These actions are intended to strengthen the overall health of the brand and our financial position, helping to ensure we are well-positioned for profitable growth and long-term value creation for our shareholders,” Christina continued in the press release.

As of now, Noodles & Company has yet to announce which locations are closing, but stay tuned. There are nine here in Central Ohio.
