Fast-growing national sandwich chain adding Columbus location

A casual chain specializing in soup, salad, sandwiches, and bowls is expanding in Columbus. Cafe Zupas has plans to open a Polaris location.

According to permits filed with the City of Columbus, the restaurant is opening at 1161 Polaris Pkwy. The building was previously an Applebee’s Grill + Bar, which closed over the summer. This will mark the fourth Cafe Zupas location in Central Ohio. The chain also has locations in Hamilton Quarter, Easton Town Center, and OSU Campus. The chain began in Provo, Utah in 2004, it was co-founded by friends Dustin Schulthies and Rob Seely. The pair left their careers in tech to start the restaurant. 

Menu highlights include seasonal salads, and sandwiches like hot honey brisket, honey bacon club, and mediterranean chicken. They also specialize in soups including tomato basil, lobster bisque, and chicken noodle. Every order comes with a complimentary chocolate covered strawberry.
