Grateful Dead-inspired food truck opens first brick-and-mortar location

Grateful Dead, Ohio State Buckeyes, and great burgers—what’s not to love? This Columbus-based food truck found a way to blend Buckeye culture with fellow Deadheads, and its success has led to its very own brick-and-mortar location.

The Grateful Griddle, a food truck offering smash burgers and gourmet sandwiches, celebrated the opening of its first brick-and-mortar ghost kitchen on June 9. Located at 4060 Presidential Pkwy in Powell, the psychedelic kitchen shares a space with Presidential Sports Bar.

The scarlet-and-gray groovy aesthetic doesn’t end with the tie-dye walls; the menu features burgers inspired by Grateful Dead’s music. Rock out with the Fire on the Mountain, a smash burger topped with ghost pepper cheese, lettuce, tomato, and frisky sauce. Or make Ohio proud with the Buckeye, a classic smash burger served with the eatery’s signature sauce.

The Grateful Griddle’s permanent location is currently only available for delivery or pickup options, but their food truck is still kicking and catering events around Central Ohio.
