A popular local restaurant group is preparing to unroll a “casual fine dining” concept and a members-only only speakeasy.

According to Orange Umbrella Restaurants (behind Local Cantina, Bendi Wok and Liberty Tavern)VP Rob Hoersdig, the group is opening Fourteen & Ember, an intimate, upscale restaurant located in a historical building, and the Ember Room, a members only cocktail bar, in Pickerington soon.

Fourteen & Ember will be located at 14 E. Columbus St. The Ember Room will be located directly beneath Fourteen & Ember.

“Fourteen & Ember is a unique addition to the dining scene in the Elevate District in Downtown Pickerington,” Hoersdig told 614Now. “Our building at 14 E Columbus St was built in 1924 and opened as a General Store. In the 1940s and 50s the space transitioned into Moore’s Restaurant.”

He said the menu will be anchored by a “strong steak program,” featuring filet, ribeye, wagyu sirloin, New York strip, and slow roasted prime rib.  The menu will also include shareables like signature soup and salad, fresh fish, pasta, and pizza.

Located underneath Fourteen & Ember, the Ember Room will operate as a members-only speakeasy.

“Members will enjoy have access to a very intimate space to enjoy high end spirits, cocktails, and wine.  The Ember Room will also feature a chef driven tapas menu,” Hoersdig said. “We will begin to sell memberships in September and will release additional information late this month. The great people we have met in Pickerington are very excited about this exclusive space.”
