Worthington Inn owners to purchase building housing 30 year-old Columbus eatery
This iconic Clintonville building is in the process of being purchased.
Mozart’s Cafe, a European-style bakery, cafe, and events venue, has been serving the Columbus community for 31 years.
In a Facebook post on July 29, Mozart’s revealed the building at 4784 N. High St. is in contract to be purchased by real estate investment group 1831 Management, the owners of Worthington Inn.
According to the post, the future owners share a vision of maintaining the property’s legacy and will work to preserve its history as a Columbus landmark.

“It was important to me to have someone who cared as much as we do about the neighborhood. Someone who would be respectful of the community and this historic building,” Mozart’s founder, Anand Saha, wrote.
With the transition of ownership, the name will change to Mozart’s Building, encompassing the property’s full potential.
Mozart’s Cafe plans to continue operations through the end of the year and will share a community update in November regarding upcoming plans.
