New bookstore cafe opens its doors in Westerville

Birdie Books in the heart of Uptown Westerville is adding a chapter of two to their offerings.

The bookstore recently opened a new micro-bakery, cafe, and bar. Located at 74 N. State St., Birdie Books is now a one-stop shop for all your morning, afternoon, and evening plans.

The independent bookshop carries books for every age, and they’re asking you to unplug, step back in time, and leave your screens at home. Their newly added cafe and bar is a screen-free space, with plenty of reading material at your fingertips. The baked goods are made in-house, and the cafe offers specialty syrups, espresso, lattes, cold brew, and more. Wine is available by the glass or bottle, and Yellow Springs brews are on draft. 

Birdie Books has rotating events on the calendar, you can check out the events schedule here. The shop has expanded operating hours, they are now open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
