After months of delays, this Middle Eastern cafe is finally set on opening its first U.S. location by the end of September.

In May of this year, Kalamantina Cafe posted to its Instagram teasing its first location in Newark, Ohio would be set to open by June.

Unfortunately due to production delays and natural setbacks that come with opening a new business, the cafe posted an update in August that its opening timeline had to shift in order to provide the best service possible.

Kalamantina, the Arabic word for clementine, plans to offer various coffee drinks, smoothies, wellness refreshers made with natural energy, and daily fresh pastries. Among the desserts included are the social media viral fruit pastries—a realistic fruit-like pastry made with layers of mousse and encased in a thin chocolate shell.

Kalamantina Cafe, located at 341 W. Church St., recently posted a new update regarding its opening, stating that the space should be ready to operate by the end of September, just in time to grab a coffee as the summer weather starts to cool down.
