Local favorite coffee spot expanding for the first time

A specialty coffee shop has expanded in Central Ohio—Espresso Air is now open in Delaware.

The cafe held their soft opening on August 11, they are located at 34 S. Sandusky St., in Delaware. This marks the second location for the cafe, with their flagship in Westerville on State Street. The locally-owned concept is operated by founder Talip Kucuker and his family. According to their website, his Turkish heritage influences the coffee. He said, “My heritage is Turkish. I grew up around strong coffee traditions. I blend that heritage into our products like our Hezarfen Turkish coffee, inspired by Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi, the legendary man who leapt from Galata Tower with homemade wings. His story is not about the wings. It is about the courage to try. That is the spirit behind Espresso Air.” 

In addition to specialty roasts, the cafe features sweet treat lattes with flavors like Tiramisu Cold Foam and Coffeecake. The Delaware location is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., follow along here for announcements and menu updates.
