Local pizzeria and wing spot closes after less than a year

A Powell eatery that opened this spring will close at the end of the year.

According to a social media post from Liberty Social, the restaurant plans to close after service on Dec. 31.

“We would like to thank all of our supporters along the way as well as the Powell Community. Thank you to our dedicated employees that helped create the enjoyable experiences for us and our customers,” the post reads. “It was a fun ride and memories are made. Come out and enjoy the Buckeyes bringing in the New Year with us as our final hurrah.”

It’s not currently clear why the eatery closed its doors.

Liberty Social, which is located 240 N. Liberty St. in Powell, opened in late April.
