Local radio station creates March Madness style bracket, with 64 entries, to find city’s best pizzeria
Even if you’re not into college basketball, we have a March Madness bracket you can probably get behind.
On March 2, 97.1 The Fan re-launched its popular Pizza Madness contest, which was created last year. Borrowing from NCAA March Madness tournament brackets, The Fan has compiled 64 local pizzerias to “compete” against each other by way of fan voting.
This year’s contest—just like its NCAA counterpart—is broken down across four regions (Eggplant, Pepperoni, Pineapple and Sausage), with eateries seeded 1-16.

The four one-seeds in this year’s bracket are:
Tommy’s Pizza
JT’s Pizza & Pub
Eagles Pizza
Sexton’s Pizza
You can find the full brackets and vote for your favorite pizzerias here.
Sweet Sixteen voting has already ending, Elite Eight voting will conclude on March 13 and Final Four voting will end on March 20. Winners will be announced on Common Man & Timmy’s March 25 show.
