Long-standing Columbus ice cream brand opening newest location this month
The expansion of Johnson’s Real Ice Cream continues.
Yesterday, the long-standing Columbus brand announced its Lewis Center storefront will open its doors on March 25. It’s located at 5915 Evans Farm Dr., inside of Lewis Center’s new Evans Farm development.
As part of its grand opening celebration, Johnson’s will be giving away free scoops of ice cream from 6-9 p.m., and the first 50 customers will receive a free Johnson’s t-shirt.

“Expanding with our new Lewis Center location is a natural next step for us,” Matt Wilcoxon, fourth-generation owner of Johnson’s Real Ice Cream, told 614Now in an interview late last year. “We’re excited to be part of the Evans Farm community and to create another neighborhood spot where people can slow down, connect and enjoy really good ice cream together—whether they’re visiting the shop or bringing Johnson’s to their own celebrations.”
Johnson’s operates nine other Central Ohio scoop shops, with locations in Bexley, Canal Winchester, Dublin, Grandview, Italian Village, New Albany, Pickerington and two storefronts in Powell.
