Matcha spot announces temporary closure, teases ‘next chapter’
A Bethel Road spot known for matcha and more will temporary close its doors while it readies to open its “next chapter.”
Enchantea, which is located at 809 Bethel Rd., announced that it will close its doors for nearly two months in an Instagram post.
“Starting June 29, Enchantea will temporarily close while we begin our next chapter,” the post reads. “We’re pouring our hearts into creating something we’ve imagined for a long time.”

According to Enchantea director ZiLin Chen, the brand will keep its name and general concept once its reopens. It will also introduce its own line of matcha after reopening, Chen added. Many details still are finalized, but the new iteration of the brand plans to be “more than just a beverage shop,” while remaining focused on matcha.
“We’ve been exploring that question [What else can matcha become?] from every angle — from our matcha farms to our kitchen, from drinks to desserts, from tasting experiences to entirely new ways of enjoying matcha,:” Chen told 614Now. “Our new space is where all of those ideas finally come together. More than just a café, we hope it becomes a place where people can experience matcha in ways they never expected.”
Enchantea will be closed June 29-late August, although an exact reopening date was not shared.
