Here’s what they had to say about Agni, a Bengali-American inspired tasting menu experience:

The tasting menu at Agni is pure fun, packed with stories and memories from the chef’s childhood and travel experiences. There’s a lot to love here in the savory courses (like malloreddus pasta in panang curry with pickled mushrooms) but one of the simplest dishes is the one that stuck with me: the intermezzo of doi, a Bengali yogurt topped with granola. The recipe is the chef’s uncle’s, and it’s so secret the uncle comes in at 3 a.m. to make it. It’s rich, creamy, sweet and unlike any yogurt you’ve ever had. I also have to give a shout-out to the cocktails and mocktails. I started with a coconut pandan mocktail, but the one that lives rent-free in my head is the Tom Khallins—tom kha soup gin (“gin” for the mocktails) with tamarind water, lime, and sparkling coconut water. Light, refreshing, not too savory, and the perfect complement to the innovative dinner menu.
