Nashville-inspired diner opens, brings southern fried fare to Columbus area

The highly anticipated Broadway Standard Southern Charm Home Cooking, Grove City’s latest eatery, officially opened its doors on Monday, March 30th. Serving breakfast and lunch with a southern twist, the diner is putting the Tennessee hoe (cakes) in hoedown.

According to Grove City Development on Instagram @grovecitydevelopment:

“@broadwaystandard is now OPEN! Bringing southern charm and home cooking to Grove City.

Breakfast and lunch served daily, open 7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.”

Located at 3911 Broadway, the restaurant is brought to you by Myles Deschner, a former Nashville restaurant and bar manager who recently relocated to Columbus. After working for over a decade in food service and managing multiple Lower Broadway Nashville bars, Deschner is now bringing some southern hospitality and cooking to central Ohio.

“We are looking forward to bringing our southern charm back to Ohio,” Deschner previously told 614Now. “One thing we love about the south is whenever you go out to eat, it’s like eating comfortably at your own home or eating dinner at your grandma’s house.” said Deschner.

For breakfast, Broadway Standard is slinging a variety of omelettes, biscuits, hot cakes, meaty breakfast sandwiches, hoe cakes, and more. Their lunch menu boasts many southern favorites, like catfish etouffee, candied yams, Texas bruschetta, fried green tomatoes, boudin balls (golden fried cheesy boudin sausage), and Nashville hot chicken mac.

Start your next morning by swinging by this new diner, where “Breakfast is the first opportunity to commune with one another.” Oh, and bring your appetite.
