National chicken chain shutters last Columbus location; Here’s what’s replacing it

The last Columbus Wing Snob his closed its doors, but a fast-growing local chicken chain is preparing to replace it.

According to head of marketing Tyler Wakeling, OX-B’s will be opening a new location in the former home of Wing Snob, which was located at 7370 Sawmill Rd. OX-B’s hasn’t announced an opening date for the new eatery yet.

Wing Snob also operated a Columbus restaurant that was located at 5179 N. High St. in Clintonville, which closed several years earlier. The chain continues to operate two Ohio locations, in Toledo and West Chester.

OX-B’s, which first opened in a repurposed shipping container in Newark in 2020, has quickly expanded across the Columbus area. The popular concept currently operates eight Central Ohio locations, with restaurants in Lancaster, Marion, Mount Vernon, Newark, Pataskala, Westerville, the Short North, and Buckeye Lake.
