National discount retailer files permits for new location near Clintonville
If you’re already on the North end of town shopping for discounted groceries at Aldi, you could soon also shop for discounted household items right down the block.
Dollar Tree filed permits with The City of Columbus seeking approval to transform a now-closed CVS at 5445 N. High St. into one of their stores. The location is right between Beechwold and Worthington, just south of the new Aldi.

Currently, there’s a Dollar General right down the street across from Graceland, and Dollar Trees on Morse Rd. and Bethel Rd., close-by to this new location. That doesn’t mean Clintonville isn’t excited though—in the Clintonville discussion forum on Facebook, one person commented, “I welcome it. That building has been empty for too long.” Another comment reads, “I’m not a big fan of these stores but that’s actually a perfect location for this for that area.”
