New German Village bar concept opening soon from the team behind The Daily Bar

There’s something new brewing in German Village—The Daily Growler is getting a remodel and a new name. The Daily Growler has been temporarily closed while the changes take place, but the wait is almost over. According to The Daily Bar via Instagram, the new concept is soft-launching tonight, June 10.

The post said, “Did you know the team behind Daily Bar is opening a new* bar?! Grand Opening announcement coming soon, but before we open to the public, we wanted to invite any + all regulars to check out the space! Stop by this Wednesday! Limited hours, limited menu…unlimited fun! *We helped reimagine, renovate, rebrand The Daily Growler in German Village” Located at 702 S. High St., in German Village—The space is owned and operated by John Blakey, who runs the business with his wife, Delores, and their son, John. Their sister concept, The Daily Bar, is located in Italian Village at 883 N. 4th St. 

The new concept appears to be called “The Daily Etcetera” according to this Instagram account that posted a cryptic coming soon message. Stay tuned for an official grand opening announcement. According to The Daily Growler via Instagram, the soft opening will include their typical trivia night, food truck, and 25% off drinks.
