New restaurant opens in former Nada space in Arena District
Just in time for some warmer weather next weekend (fingers crossed, at least), a new upscale Mexican restaurant that specializes in margaritas and tacos has debuted in the Arena District.
Viva Mexican Restaurant is now open at 220 W. Nationwide Blvd. in the 6,000 square foot space that used to house Nada before they closed last year. The restaurant officially opened yesterday for National Margarita Day. One review says, “The restaurant is absolutely beautiful done!! And the food was amazing!! Also a plus that Viva is attached to a parking garage so parking is convenient!!! Service was on point couldn’t believe I was at a soft open….great job everyone!!! The food was amazing everything I had was perfectly seasoned and so flavorful!!! I will definitely be back!!!”

The restaurant is operated by the same family who owns Dulce Vida Ice Cream here in town, a popular spot for sweets.
It’s still in its soft opening phase, so official hours and a menu hasn’t been set yet, but Viva’s website says that their salsas and tortillas are artisanal, their margaritas are handcrafted, and their Mexican cuisine is authentic and elevated.
